You married a man for money,
now it’s too late
to see the error of your ways.
As you grow older
the emptier you feel
no matter how much he pays.
A comfortable existence
is all you thought life was about,
holidays, expensive jewelry
and a new outfit
for every time you went out.
All of this was fine
when you were younger and
the centre of attention,
but now you are old and your name
is rarely mentioned.
Money could buy you everything
but happiness,
now there is no price on the cure
for your sadness.

True when one only thinks about wealth.
