A Part of Me

There’s a part of me

I wish I could find,

the part that use to smile and

didn’t have any worries on its mind.

The part that fell in love with you

and told you he would be true,

the part that was happy

to be stuck to you like glue.

Where this part has gone,

I do not know,

it disappeared one day like a

footprint in the melting snow.

Now without this part

I am unable to be made whole,

a man going through the motions

without any feeling in his soul.

  1. The sad part of life is that

The Happy Part has to depart everyday to the racks of the irretrievable past.

The use of melting like a footprint in snow is so good..

    Nice nostalgic poem, dear poet.
