One day blends into another
as people stay at home
and remain undercover.
Daily life has been brought to a halt
by a virus which Trump says
is the Chinese’s fault.
He looks for blame to try and distract
from the warnings he was given
and his failure to act.
Every country has had to count the cost
there will be no winners
for everyone has lost.
Life will go on but it will never be the same
due to a microbe
we were unable to tame.
