A small child stands
facing a wall
he wishes to see what’s
on the other side
but is too small.
He tries to climb it
but there is no grip
jumping up he
touches the top
with his fingertips.
As his curiosity grows
he looks around
searching for an
implement to help
knock it down.
To his frustration
he finds nothing
suitable for the job
so he sits back down
and begins to sob.
His father who
is observing
from a distance,
smiles to himself at
his sons persistence.
He walks over and
lifts him up high
and for a second the
boy thinks he can fly.
Suddenly perched on
top of the wall,
he cries out in terror
afraid he might fall.

Its a natural thing as a child or even an adult to want to know what is on the other side of the wall, its an exciting adventure.

Wanting what we can’t have and then when it becomes within our reach we immediately are stricken with the fear of the unknown.
