Blame

Who is it that will

have to take the blame?

well there’s no one here

but me and my shame.

You hadn’t a choice

in who was your father,

so, I’ll put up my hand

and claim responsibility

for your bother.

Having me disappoint you

from an early age,

you could not help

but to express your rage.

I had hoped that my demons

would have let you be,

a grown man who was

helpless wasn’t easy to see.

They never listened

when I pleaded

to leave you alone

and that I

was all they needed

But where’s the fun

if all their work is undone

when they have the chance

to destroy another one.
