They say you should
write about what you know
not about somewhere
that you will never go.
If I took their advice,
I would only write
about my four walls,
then boredom
would soon set in and
my ideas would stall.
Closing my eyes,
I can arrive anywhere,
meet any historic figure
if I should dare.
My imagination
is the gateway to my writing,
swaps my life
for one more exciting.
When it’s all over,
I can return to my room
with new stories
that I can help bloom.

Yeah, if I couldn’t live in fantasy land while writing, I wouldn’t have any material.

Smash that 4th wall. Then you’ll arrive in the 5th dimension and wield time like a time lord.

You said my very words! If you’d like an email pen pal, let me know. I am not bored, but I understand about the four walls!
