Prayer Answered

I nearly

lost you today.

My biggest fear

came into play.

A simple thing

almost took you.

Gasping,

you thought it

was your time

to pass through.

How would

I have told our son,

that his mother was gone.

The one person

he thought

he could always depend on.

To see the

helplessness

in your eyes,

as you fought

hard to survive.

Holding your hand

and telling you to breathe,

while praying

that you would not leave.

Thankfully

he heard my prayers

and realised

that it would be too unfair

for a small boy

to lose a mother

that could never

be replaced by another.
