The Joke is on Me

Go ahead,
Laugh at me
because I want
to be different.
I don’t want to
work nine to five
and be insignificant.
Done that
for way too long,
and where
did it get me?
Nowhere,
to be short and sweet.
Just a feeling
of being incomplete.
There has to more
to life than this.
If not,
we are all heading
for the abyss.
So,
I decided to
write what is in my head.
It makes no difference
for we will all still end up dead.
